Washington Book Publishers is an informal, all-volunteer "salon" group of publishing professionals begun in 1976 that meets every few weeks to talk about writing, editing, design, production, marketing, rights, the world of book and electronic publishing, and the tasks involved in putting books together. Generous cooperation from members allows for various meeting locations. Program topics are suggested by members, and volunteers assist in organizing specific programs and in producing newsletters and this annual directory.
